1. Who handles your information
Chain Reaction Technologies is a digital studio based in Lusaka, Zambia. We are responsible for how information submitted through this website is used for our enquiries and applications.
For privacy questions or requests, email hello@chainreactionzm.com or call +260 77 939 2370.
The operator’s full legal name and business address will be added when this draft is finalised.
2. Information we collect
Project enquiries include your name and email, the service and type of work you need, budget range and preferred timeline. You can also provide a phone or WhatsApp number, company name, project details, links and how you found us. A description is required if you choose a custom project.
Team applications include your name, email, discipline, portfolio link and a description of your work. Your phone or WhatsApp number and years of experience are optional.
Fields marked as required are needed to submit the relevant form. You can leave optional fields empty, or contact us by email instead. Please avoid sending identity documents, passwords, payment details or sensitive personal information through these forms.
When you visit or submit a form, our hosting and security services may process technical information such as your IP address, browser details, request time and security signals. The forms also use submission timing and temporary rate-limit identifiers to reduce spam.
3. Why we use it
We use project enquiries to understand your requirements, respond, prepare a quote and discuss work you have requested. If a project proceeds, related correspondence may become part of our client records.
We use applications to review your work and discuss suitable project-based opportunities. We may follow up about a suitable opportunity after the initial review; you can ask us to stop considering your application.
We use technical information to deliver the website, prevent abuse and investigate faults. A form submission triggers a confirmation email. It does not subscribe you to a newsletter or promotional mailing list.
4. Who receives it
Submissions are sent to our designated business inbox. People handling your enquiry or application can access the information needed for that task. The forms deliver submissions and confirmation emails through ZeptoMail, which processes the email addresses and message content for delivery. Our mailbox provider also processes received correspondence.
Our website hosting provider processes requests and may keep operational or security logs. Where Cloudflare Turnstile is enabled, Cloudflare processes browser and security signals to check for automated traffic. Verification may include your IP address. See the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim. The final notice will identify the hosting and mailbox providers currently in use.
5. Processing outside Zambia
Website hosting, email delivery and security services may process information outside Zambia. Before this notice is published, we will confirm the relevant providers, processing countries and applicable safeguards and describe them here.
6. How long information is kept
Form submissions are delivered by email rather than saved in a dedicated submissions database on this website. Copies may remain in our business inbox, email delivery systems and backups.
Our proposed approach is to retain information only while needed to handle an enquiry, consider an application, carry out an agreed project or meet legal and accounting obligations. The specific retention periods and deletion arrangements need to be confirmed before publication.
The website also holds temporary rate-limit information in server memory. This is separate from the email records of your submission.
8. Protecting information
We use HTTPS, form validation and anti-spam checks to help protect submissions and the website. Email and external services also depend on their own security controls. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
9. Your choices and rights
Under Zambia’s Data Protection Act, you may have rights to access your personal information, correct it, request erasure, object to processing, restrict processing or request portability, subject to the conditions and exceptions in the Act.
To make a request or ask us to stop contacting you about an enquiry or application, email hello@chainreactionzm.com. We may need to verify your identity before disclosing or changing information. Some records may need to be retained to meet legal obligations or resolve a dispute.
If you have a concern, you can contact us first or raise it with Zambia’s Data Protection Commission.
10. Changes to this notice
We will update this notice when our practices change and show the revision date here. This version is a draft for review and has no effective date yet.
