A barbershop loses money in two places: the chair that sits empty because nobody booked it, and the client who does not show because nobody reminded them. Both are solved by software that most small Zambian businesses cannot justify buying.

BookChain is multi-tenant, so one platform serves many businesses, each on its own subdomain with its own staff, services, hours and prices. Customers book from a phone; the business sees the day laid out in front of them.

There are two separate mobile apps — one for the business, one for the customer — sharing a common core, over a FastAPI backend with a Redis job queue handling reminders. This is the shape a full product build takes when it is done properly.
